Ellerman, Loretta (Marriage - 21 Oct. 1950)

Miss Loretta Ellerman, daughter of Mrs. Fred Ellerman, of Abbotsford, became the bride of Leonard Braasch, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Braasch, of Oconomowoc, Saturday morning, Oct. 21, before a nuptial mass at 9:30 at St. Joan of Arc Church, in Okauchee. The Rev. L. F. Whalen read the double ring ceremony.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, Vernon, wore a white gown fashioned with a fitted lace bodice, long, fitted sleeves and full, satin skirt and train. Her finger tip veil of imported illusion, edged with shadow lace, fell gracefully from a lace bonnet. Her bouquet was a cascade arrangement of red roses and white mums.

Attending the bride were her cousin, Mrs. Edward Dublinski, Milwaukee, as matron of honor; Miss Nancy Braasch, sister of the groom, as bridesmaid; and Miss Judy Daniels, niece of the groom, as junior bridesmaid.

Mrs. Dublinksi wore a bronze brocaded gown with matching gauntlets and carried a cascade of green mums. Miss Braasch was similarly attired in green brocade and carried bronze mums, while Miss Daniels wore a white gown to match the bride’s and carried green and bronze mums. All the attendants wore floral head pieces.

Edward Dublinski served as best man and William Reidman, a friend of the groom, was usher.

Both mothers were attired in black with white accessories and wore corsages of red roses and white baby mums.

Bronze and white mums were used in the church and home decorations.

Following the ceremony, a turkey dinner was served at the home of the groom’s parents.

The bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford High School, class of 1946, and was employed for five years at Wing’s Drug Store. In May she left for Milwaukee where she is employed in the main office of Allis-Chalmers.

The groom, who served for four years in the navy air force, is employed in the welding department at Tracsons.

Mr. and Mrs. Braasch left on a short honeymoon and are now making their home at 817 Elm Avenue, Okauchee, Wisconsin.
